The second chapter of proverbs is filled with practical insight on one of the most important things that we as believers need to learn in life, and that is wisdom. Such wisdom and understanding will lead us to the fear of the Lord. Interestingly, the Bible in this particular verse focuses on the prioritization of seeking wisdom and understanding. God promises to give wisdom when we cry out for discernment, lift our voices for understanding, seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him (James 1:5). Remember that true wisdom starts with the fear of our Almighty and Everlasting God (Proverbs 9:10).
