"Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. " Luke 7:11 NKJV

Jesus is traveling with his disciples from Capernaum to the small town of Nain. “The  account is not accidental since Jesus went close to twenty-five miles out of His way to go to the small town of Nain (Courson).” In most instances of the New Testament Jesus didn’t traveled at random, but it seems He had specific appointments with certain individuals.  Evidently, Jesus was at the right place and time to make an impact in the life of those who were broken and afflicted.  In the same context we could mistakenly think that God is far from us, or if we have encountered Him we could be under the impression that our salvation was coincidental.  In contrast, the truth is much more amazing.  For God has known us from our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and He loved us and set us apart for salvation even before we were born (Galatians 1:15).   There is no coincidence, God seeks us lovingly and patiently throughout our lives.  Today, try to have a quiet moment to meditate about what God has done in your life.
