"When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”" Luke 7:13 NKJV

Jesus exuded such an abundance of life that people loved to be with Him. At the same time, He was the man of sorrows (Isaiah 53:3). “He was not the man of sorrows because He was depressed about His own situation, but because He had such great compassion (Courson).” Jesus told the woman “do not weep,” but Jesus himself wept when Lazarus His friend died (John 11:35). God’s love is so enormous that He came down to earth to carry our sufferings so we would not have to go through the agony of the fear of death, and give us the ticket to eternal life.  No matter how bad of a situation we are going through we can be sure that Jesus has compassion for us, and He will gives us strength to endure it. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...(Psalm 46:1-3).”
